This Raspberry & Cassis Wine Kit is a refreshingly fruity Merlot with a lovely smooth taste which is enhanced by the addition of the fruit. The result is a perfect balance of the raspberry and blackcurrant fruits combined with the plum flavours of the Merlot grape. This red wine is one that leaves you wanting more and more of it.
Start the fermentation on day 1, it’s finished by day 5, and cleared and ready to drink by day 7.
Each kit produces approximately 30 bottles of great tasting wine at very low cost!
These 7 day 30 bottle wine kits from Youngs do not need any extra sugar added to them as each kit contains 5 litres of quality grape concentrate along with a flavouring sachet containing raspberry juice concentrate, cassis (blackcurrant) juice concentrate, natural raspberry flavouring and natural cassis (blackcurrant) flavouring, yeast, yeast nutrient, finings and full instructions.
If you do not have any brewing equipment, you may need:
- 2 x 25 litre fermenting buckets (one for brewing, one for transferring/racking)
- Airlock
- Plastic Spoon (to stir and degass the brew)
- Hydrometer (to check that fermentation is complete)
- Syphon tubing
- Sterilizing powder
- Bottles or suitable storage e.g. demijohns
